Uncover the secret of a town in the center of the United States that imprisons anyone who gets inside. As residents struggle to maintain a sense of normalcy and find a way out, they must also survive threats from the surrounding forest. Check out our list of renewals and cancellations to see if your favorite show made it. The town’s set was built specifically for the series in North Beaver Bank, Nova Scotia. Known as Beaver Bank Villa, the site features a long history, and many years ago housed housing units, a community center, fire station, school, church, grocery store, etc. (all demolished by 2004) to support workers at a nearby military radar base that was in operation in the 1950s and 1960s. The paved streets and driveways were all that remained, and the make-believe town was built on them. When Boyd enters a distant tree, he finds himself at the bottom of a well. A rope is lowered to him. When Boyd climbs out of the well, Martin is the only one in the room and is chained to the wall. The rope was not thrown down by Martin. Very suspenseful series. Good storytelling. Good characters, like most of them, have common sense. Good horror TV. Pretty damn gory in parts. Lots of mysterious things to think about. I really enjoyed the first season and hope there is another. There aren’t many good horror shows on TV anymore. That’s a good thing in my opinion.
